We had the best weather today for climbing the wall. It wasn't cloudy or polluted and there was a nice breeze. Andrew and Michael climbed as high as they could on the section we went to. It was steep but amazing. We went to the MuTianYu section of the wall instead of the more popular BaDaLing section and it was a great decision. There were very few people there and no vendors on the actual wall. There were plenty of very aggressive vendors at the bottom near the exit but we survived them. The pictures don't do it justice. It was so surreal standing on such a huge piece of history.
View of the mountains from the wall:
Andrew, half way up the wall. He and Michael climbed to the highest point they could which is I think 3-4 more towers in this picture. Beyond that point the wall is broken and you can't continue.
After the wall we had lunch (a very westernized chinese lunch) at a cloissoine factory then saw the process of making the pieces, then had what they like to call "a shopping opportunity." There's no shortage of "shopping opportunities" here so it's funny how they try to entice us silly Americans to purchase things. They got a few of our dollars though. Mom, we got you some beads so you can make something crafty with them :-)
There's more to add but I have to go to sleep so I'll try to get some more pictures up tomorrow.

Tomorrow we have our agency orientation then a tour of Tianamen square and the Temple of Heaven. I think that's what we're doing. It's hard to keep track.
Goodnight!
